Repeat Prescriptions

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription:

  • Phone the practice on 01429 278179 and choose option 3 between 10.00am to 11.30am and 2.00pm to 3.30pm

Ordering repeat prescriptions

You can order repeat prescriptions online:

  • Using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS app)
  • Using the GP online system - SystmOnline
  • Use this online form

These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.

You can also:

  • drop a repeat prescription request slip into the Practice post box, which is in the foyer before the entrance to our Practice Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 6.00pm

We no longer accept repeat prescription requests over the phone or email.

Nominating a pharmacy

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • At your GP practice
  • At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Find your local pharmacy.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be required to have a medication review at least once a year around your birth month.

A notification will appear on your medication repeat slip.

If you have a long-term condition, you will be contacted by a member of the team who will book the appropriate appointments.

Collecting your prescription

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 2 to 3 working days after you have ordered it.
